What to expect: Serious play. Dress for the weather. Social action. Adventures in screen space. Lively thinking, quiet body (sometimes the other way round). Somatic disco. Sensation, discussion. Dance as a means of discovery - of what, I'm not yet sure. Increasingly, singing.
Kyra Norman is a dancer and choreographer with 20+ years' experience.
Her work mostly takes place in galleries, public spaces and outdoors: on land, in water and through weather.
She works with embodiment, improvisation and experimental choreography to explore ideas and practices of movement, connection and presence (being here and now), through live performance, screen media, writing & participatory events.
Kyra lives on the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall, UK.
Since 2024, she collaborates with Faye Dobinson as ALL IN.
